you can hang them as high or low as you want. the brackets are universal. see my pics at left. I love them & i cant imagine spending $1500 on hookers for 10 more horsepower. For $1500 I can get at least 35 hp elsewhere.

A few questions. How do they hold up to rust? Are they a quality product? Does anyone have them hooked up to exhaust manifolds? How do they sound & finally, are they hot when getting out of the vehicle?

I want a set of pipes soooo bad for my 79 & keep looking at the fiberglass repro covers so they will be insulated but chrome looks so nice. I am also concerned about the fiberglass covers getting chipped when hit with rocks.

patriot makes a set of chrome ones with the chrome mesh covers. the pipes do not rust, but the mounting brackets do if you dont paint them before putting them on. I learned that the hard way. Mine are hooked up to stock manifolds and they sound almost identical to the soundbites posted around the forum of ones with headers. last, yes they get blazing hot!

Did either of you guys use the universal pipe kit or just have the muffler shop weld you up some exhaust pipe to join manifold to sidepipe?
