trailers

Anyone have any experience with aluminum, open car trailers as far as price and practicality. Thinking of featherlite and trailex. Thanks Dale

I don’t have an aluminum one but I do use an open car hauler.

I picked up this set of hubcaps in Aug……don’t know what year they are.

...they should be "1966" ones-1965 were flat across to the spinner, not stepped in towards the wheel like yours are.

Don't know about Trailex, but my best friend has a 17ft open Featherlite trailer, and I have a 20ft Featherlite bumper pull enclosed trailer and a 34ft gooesneck Featherlite trailer. Very well built, quality trailers.

I was in the Pittsburgh, PA area this week and drove over to the Trailex facility and was most impressed with the operation and the product. In fact so much that I'm ordering an open one. I was dickering between it and the Fetherlight but their are several features on the Trailex that swayed me. It is lighter than the Featherlight and the fenders are low enough that I can open the C6 doors without hitting them on the fenders. Additionally I like the tie down set up and lastly the entire trailer is anodized for protection. I have seen the featherlight and it is also a good trailer I just was more impressed with the Trailex. Carl is their marketing guy and he took his time showing me around and answering all my questions. So the red vette will have a ride.
