A lot more members here I would guess. And maybe more knowledgeable people who can answer questions.

The speed for forum response is probably directly proportional to the number of members regularly using the forum.

I've posted same questions on both Corvette Action Center and here and the response rates on this site is awesome, probably 15-1 over CAC. I don't understand why very little action on some posts on CAC...

Default Slow forums.....

Maybe they just need a tune-up...

Probably still have the original catalytic converter and stock exhaust. Not to mention thier Q-Jets haven't been "Larsified" with his Golden Hammer.

That's because if you don't agree with some of the elitist there they run you off or insult you when they find out you actually know what you're talking about. Sneekingly editing posts to make someone look stupid..that sort of stuff have had it happen, have seen it happen to at least 2 others that post here. For all I care they can keep their elite place on the internet...compared to this place it's a total joke anyway.

Actually Marck, thats where I was. I really was kind of joking. I got some decent advice.

For whoever asked, I'm going to look at a '69 C-10, it's blue with a 307 and a 3 speed on the floor conversion.
It's on car soup.com in the thrifties for $2600. I think it would make a decent tow truck for the vette. so I don't have to worry about breaking the car.

Anyone here have any opinions

Here's a pic

and here are the details from the add

Price: $2,600 or Best Offer
Color: blue
Miles: 90,000
Body Style: 2-Door Truck

Engine: 307- 8 Cylinders
Transmission: Manual
VIN: CE149J861145

Description: The following new parts have been installed: clutch, carborator, electric choke, brakes, radiator, battery, and new starter.
Comes with the following parts which have not been installed yet: new air shocks, door locks, and shroud.
Heavy duty truck transmission and on the floor shifting
Original engine. Runs great!

Equipment

Options:
Bench Seat Cloth Upholstery

For towing you probably want a bigger motor than the 307, but there is plenty of room under the hood to put just about anything in there.

For old Chevy trucks try:

http://www.stovebolt.com/

I just finished restoring a 61 Apache step-side and Stovebolt was invaluable. The same quality and quantity of people as on this site but for Chevy trucks only.

Corvette Forum seems to be by far the most active around. I've been contemplating the purchase of a certain '78 Firebird as a fun project for when my Corvette projects dwindle, and the F-body forums aren't nearly as active. You'd think there'd be more activity since there were so many more Camaros and Firebirds manufactured than Corvettes. Not so.

We are definitely spoiled here, I remember a post a while back about CF being somewhere in the top 5 (?) of most active message boards! I think it was measured by posts in the last week.

Then when I need help with my motorcycle, I turn to a forum with about 80% of its members from the Netherlands and Australia. I could probably get some of our members here to translate for me

http://hotel.messageboard.nl/3669/index.php

Post subject: Olielekkage
