My rear ('74) started splitting a little at the bottom edge. I tried repairing and everything snowballed from there. Pretty soon there were pieces falling off the car as I drove.
Replaced with a "TruFlex" from Eckler's.

Sounds like the front bumper on my '74...I went to put the car cover on the car the other day, and a chunk of it fell off.
My dad and I basically said, "Eh...Screw it. We're buying a new bumper."
