Safety Car
Oh, that makes me want to .
I agree with some of the others above - get right back into it and make the car better than it was before. My first Corvette ever was a 76 coupe that was hit by 36" of water from a major flood (1994). I quickly changed the carpet, seat covers, all the fluids, etc. and it was like it never happened.

Boat runs fine to this day with no apparent ill effects. Engine is BBC.

The key to saving a flood car is cleaning it and changing fluids immediately. If you car still looks like that it is all over walk away and look for another vette.
Salt water in the drivetrain for this period of time has compromised every part and gasket and started to pit every surface. Mold takes over all your interior surfaces within hours. Electrical systems are corroding after 24 hours. There is a reson that insurance companies total out flood cars even if the water is relatively clean. You cannot legally sell a flood car without disclosing it because no matter what you do it will never be the same.
Unfortunately the best thing you can do with that car is to run away as fast as you can.

That just sucks the big one. I remember when your car came out of the paint shop, I was in love with it. I thought that color and those wheels together were awsome. I hate to see it in that kind of shape. I feel for you brother.

This just makes me want to On the bright side though, if you have insurance, maybe you can get it professionaly restored. That way all you have to do is the fun part of customizing it.

I'm very sorry to see your your car in that condition SigForty. If it's already been asked, never mind.
I'd like to respectfully ask why you were unable to get the car out? I know something must have kept you from it. Each time I see one of these cars ruined I wonder what the owner was going through that prevented them from protecting their Vette.
Rushing to save their lives? Planning to come back for it? Didn’t think it would flood?
Thanks
Jim
