get a respirator mask you will be amazed at the blow by on that machine.....i will only use mine outside and then with a full respirator mask on.....you don't need to be inhaling all that dust...

Good that he wants to be involved like that. You will be surprised when he gets older and remembers things like this. Plus he is learning a good hobby that is the greatest one going IMO. Teach him well and enjoy.

Grit blasters are great, but you've got to wear a some good filtration gear; blow your nose into a white kleenex after just one minute of using the grit blaster and you'll see why. That being said, having a dedicated air compressor in your garage is so useful, you have to have one to appreciate it.

[IMG]http://[/IMG] He just wanted to drive it during high school. He's been in Texas for a year or so, and is planning on coming back to western Washington. Wants to help swap engines, suspension & brakes and then race it. Told him I'd help.

Sorry. I've a good picture of him (age 17) in my car lookin' very proud. Thought I knew how to post pictures here, but I guess either the rules changed or I need to go back to something 101.

My boy's in Texas for a while, but when he gets back he'll help change the engine and upgrade suspension/brakes and wants to race it locally. Told him I'd help
