Newbie here wondering how hard it is to get to/replace door ajar switch. On the way over to putting my 1974 in storage I noticed my door ajar light on and further investigation found switch plunger sticking in. I could not feel an acess point behind switch to remove it. Any advice

The switches just screw striaght in. One piece of advice, when screwing in or out one of those door switches, be sure to hold the plunger and keep it from turning. By this I mean turn only the nut, this is done to keep from twisting up the wires on the back side of the switch.
I know Volunteer Vette has these switches as I got both door ajar and courtesy light switches from them when I redid my interior.

smkunder... There is an access plate in the front of the rear wheel well that provides access to the #3 body mount. If you open it up, you can also reach in there and hold onto the wires so they don't twist while you screw in the switch. The threads are pipe thread, so they tighten up without bottoming out, so don't over tighten them.
If you install a new switch, do not close the door until you tighten the switch fully. Then close the door and it will set the switch. (If you look closely at the switch, you will see the sleeve that gets set as you close the door.)
