82 headlight chime
Hi,
My 82 has a tone generator that warns if you leave the lights on. It used to come on when the motor was shut off. Now it comes on every time I turn on the parking or headlights even with the motor running. How can I fix this thing? The noise is driving me crazy!

IT's on the fuxe box, a black box. If you pull it off (has a wire and it sticks into the fuse box) you will probably find that the terminals are loose and the solder has cracked resulting in a faulty conenction. Just clean it up, redo the sodlering and it should be fine..it's a pretty simply device, not rocket science at all.
