looking at a 71 vert
going to look at a 71 454 vert this weekend, other than the usual frame rust, windshield post and birdcage rust what else shoud I look for? he has owned it for the last 25 years and has not been on the road for the last 2 years he starts and runs it regulary. he said it was painted about ten years ago but the paint is not the best. He thought he would keep it for ever but realizes he no longer has time for it, now the best part when I asked what he wanted for it he said around 10 to 11 thousand!! 10 grand for a running driving 71 454 vert. we will see.

Sounds like a pretty good price for a BB vert IMO. Just make sure to check the frame good. Look at the radiator support. Check numbers. Make sure the wiper door and headlights work. Make sure the vents in the rear deck will open and close by dialing the temp from low to high. Just a few things to check.
