I have one at the battery. Car came with it. Have seen them in catalogs for around $11. Just bought another one at Wal-Mart for $3. Seems to be the same one as the higher priced versions. Green **** not a blade.
j.c. whitney sells the blade,thats what i use ,open the blade and current stops,keep it open while cars not in use,,with the **** type i had ''making & breaking'' causing alarm to go on and off when trying to disc,at shows,,so i went with the blade type----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Blade type here also. Mounted just to the left of the emerg. brake console behind and below my right elbow as I sit in the drivers seat. Niether the seat back nor my arm ever hit it. The arm rest cushion conceals it from view and I can take the blade out completely if I want when off. The stub the blade goes into sticks out about an inch through the carpet. I dipped the blade in black liquid plastic to cover the red.

I have one on my 67 camaro located in the pass side back up light lens. Easy to access from the rear and I used a spare lens so I could easily put it back to stock if I wanted.
Scotty, I believe you have your disconnect on the wrong side of the battery. I have the same style and the instructions (if I remember correctly) had it mounting on the negative side, hence the black (neg.) colored ****
I have a rotory type mounted just below the drivers side bumper. It's so nice to be able to just flip the switch rather than;
open the door
move the seat forward
move the T-Tops
open the cover
wedge my hand in between the sharpp edges of the battery box and the battery
unscrew the stupid little ****
dig the **** out of the bottom of the battery box when I unscrew it too far
put the stupid **** back into the stupid cable
close the battery box
move the seat back
Don't know what they're called or where I got them but the battery clamps themselves are quick release no tools needed.
Looks like a standard top post clamp but has a knurled nut and a cammed lever for clamping it.
Flip the lever up and the clamp is loose enough to slip right off. Push it down and its clamped on without stretching the lead terminal.
