Looking for a 3D model

Can anyone tell me if there is a 3d model available somewhere of the LSx. I would prefer something in a Pro/E format, but any 3d modeling format would work.

A detailed CAD model is going to be difficult to find. You may be able to find a 2D drawing of it, the racecar builders get them somehow for engine placement, etc. I would call GM Performance and ask them (it might be a place to start).

If you do find a 3D rendering of a 60's era chevy big block let us know. There are more than a few of us here that would like to see an early C3 as a CAD file to share.

Email me. I have 2D dimensioned drawings of a dressed Corvette big block. I have modeled the front of the engine (for a serpentine belt conversion) and I could send you an IGES of that also.

matthud, I received your email and sent 3 views to you. The scans are pretty big files so I sent them in 3 separate emails. I have the CAD model at work, I will send you an IGES later today.

Let me know if you need any more info.

I have a good start in pro-e but I'm missing some stuff from the drawings I have and would like to do a little comparison.
