Hi folks
I'm a newbe here to corvette forum great sight
I have a small problem I just removed my steering wheel in my 75
my intentions were to install a new key switch and turn signle indicator
after removingt the steering wheel horn parafamalia etc
I know there is a spring loded clip I have to remove BUT i can't seem to gat to the clip . There's a piece of plastic gismo that doesn't seem to want to come off, I do not want to break it any Ideas ???
its a teloscopic steering column if that helps
Might wanna get a hold of Jim Shea, he is the local expert on steering column stuff. Check out corvettefaq.com for some diagrams with exploded views of column... When I replaced my turn signal switch there was a odd plastic piece in there, if I remember correctly it kinda just popped off and the clip and spring were under it. If you plan on removing the clip without tools I recommend a friend (or younger brother in my case) help you with removing and assembling, as the clip has to be pressed on pretty hard and slip into a groove on the shaft.
