Hello everyone, been surfing this site for a long time and figured it was about time to jump into the forum.
Been running a numbers matching '73 for the past 7 years, and luckily have not had to do too much to her. Replaced the sideyokes in the diff this spring and while there replaced bushings and u-joints. Have kicked myself since then for keeping the 3.08 gears.
On my wish list are headers and sidepipes and possibly Vortec heads. Not sure if I want to do too much to this engine, or keep it safely aside and seek an alternate form of horsepower. I'm sure I will be asking many questions about your experiences.
I'm located about 60 miles SW of Chicago, have wife and two kids who all enjoy the hobby. My son is only three and he informed me the other day that someday he was going to be the one driving and I was going to have to be the rider! I think it's great he likes the car so much, but not sure if I'm ready for him to be the driver!
I know it's been posted 1000 times, but what is the easiest way to post a picture? I'm already registered at photobucket. Thanks in advance.
