Default power steering cylinder

is it better to rebuild it or buy one ready to bolt on?

any thoughts are appreciated.

Either way. I have had better luck rebuilding the steering cylinder than I have had building the control valve. The cylinder is an easy rebuild. Go for it.

Buy the rebuilt ones. Mine both needed more parts than come in the kits so I had to replace them anyway.

Used the kit, removing the cylinder from the steering arm is the hardest part

I tried the kit ... still leaks. The piston/shaft must be scored.

Well, I can say that it doesn't cost too much to try.
If that doesn't do it - then I would say "new".
