Default weather stripping question

I just installed weather stripping on my freshly painted doors and have noticed that the door is very hard to close. Is anyone familiar with this problem and will it eventually go away after repeated usage of the door? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks!

It will go away. Keep the doors closed and the weatherstrip will compress. I did this a month or two ago on my 68 restoration and had the same result. It is especially true with t-tops when you get around to doing those. Just keep the doors closed and the weatherstrip will "learn" its new fit and the doors will seal ok.

A common problem, especially with the less expensive w/s kits. The rubber in them is a little denser. Keep the door closed, they will set and settle in.

I left mine out in the hot Texas sun one day and the weather strips all moved right into place. Sometimes it better than others to live in Texas.
