Default Rear suspension help

I need to change the front mount on my rear differential in my 82. I can't get the bushings. I have tried prying the diff/crossmember apart but I can't get enough clearance to get the bushings out. Is there a trick to getting these parts out?

Do you have the car on jack stands, or is it up on ramps? You mayneed to load the suspension to flex the upper cross member bushings so that there is no pressure on the front bushing.

I had the whole back of the car up on jack stands.

You may need to losen the bolts holding on the rear suspension crossmember to take pressure off the front bushing. Some one else may have better advice than mine.

Keep us posted on the progress.
