Default 4:1 Sidepipes

Well, I'm glad I spent 3 hours reseraching sidepipes before ordering them. Found a couple guys on here that had gotten a set from JCWhitney. I ordered mine last Wednesday and they came today. The chrom elooks grreat and the quliaty looks good. These are gonna look great on the car! The single pipe ones just don't do it for me and I can't afford the hookers.

Check them out...

the one farthest from the engine is the one u connect to. the others are just open to atmosphere. I may plug those. not sure if that will help or hurt moisture retention. will have tpo think about that. Will paint the inside at the very least.

i dont know why and i may catch flak for this, but i think its rice to fake like that, to me its like putting a 427 badge on a 350, you present the car to have something it doesnt

I was thinking about putting a 350 badge on my 502 and claim that I got the numbers a little wrong and out of order

People used to change the badges on their cars years ago.....way before "ricers" ever existed, so it can't be "rice".

Had a '74 Formula 455 with hedman headers on it that had the center cylinders sharing a tube. So, six tubes on the headers... I put 3.0 V6 emblems on it. During the early 90s, I thrashed a lot of mustangs in San Angelo...

Thanks for the info and updated pic. I know what I want for Christmas now.
I have a set very similar to those but they are stamped Hooker Headers,
those are installed on my 79, think I will put a set of those on my 77.

Seemed like a good option for us. My son will start driving it next year. It'll be his after he gets done rebuilding it; under my direction. No reason to invest a ton of money into it and as it turns out these look really great.

Also, I found a similar set at Summit Racing. $239 but they charge full shipping. if oyu happen to be close to one of their distribution centers it'd be a good deal w/o shipping. They are listed under Patriot Lake Pipes. I'm waiting on Patriot to call and tell me if they have a set of heat shields for them. Only $40 thru Summit if they'll fit the diameter.

MONGOOSE GOT A ? FOR YA.

I am running 4 into 1 headers, and need to replace the muffler pipes.
What size diameter is the muffler pipe inlet and what is the lenghth? They might work as replacements.
