Default Oil Filters

What brand and number oil filter do you use on your sb? It seems all the parts houses want to know is...what car is it for. I know what mine came with but which is best?

I'm using the Wix 51061. The studies I've seen show it to be a better than average filter for a good price. AC Delco is another of about the same caliber. If you want to step up to a higher priced filter Mobil1 and Purolater Pure1 are considered two of the best. From what I've read and seen personally.... Fram is not an option. Just my opinion.....

I used to run AC PF35's. Good filter at $3. Then they discontinued it and replaced with 1218. Still good filter but a year ago the 1218 turned to crap. Half as big and cheap construction. Now using the PF35L. Expensive at $10 but it's a great filter.

I try to buy Wix or Purolater. Can't always get them easily without going way out of the way though.
