windshield for 72 vette

Autoglassnational.com can replace the windshiled (installed) for 279.00,

Anywhere else I can purchase for less?

A chain called Ding Doctors (I think) did my in TX for $154. I forget the brand, but it was name brand glass.

$279.00 is a little steep. I had a local Vette shop replace mine for $165.00. It was a name brand windshield (PPG). Shop around a little.

Bought one locally here in Michigan through a chain store named Henderson Glass. $129 cash and carry. Tinted PPG glass.

For $279 I say keep looking.

I replaced the glass in my 70 last year for about $150.00 for tinted glass installed here in New York. Glass was not in stock but it only took 3 days to get it.

Had one of those full service glass shops put the front glass in my H3 in my driveway for only $700.00. Fortunately the company has a contract with them and the insurance co. Such a deal!!!

I have not checked into this but my glass looks like it has been sand blasted. On a sunny day driving into the sun it is real bad. For these prices why am I waiting.

I'll have to check into this in the spring.

Where to buy a windshield

Thanks to the suggestions in this thread I decided to call around here in Indianapolis and see if I could beat the price of those guys that sell windshields out of a truck at the swap meets. I just got a windshield for my '69 for $143.10 with tax at Safety Auto Glass. Thanks for the comments you guys.
