Does anyone have wood on their dashes, doors, etc? Could y'all post some pics of what you have & what kind of wood it is?

I've got wood on all three of my Vettes. Look for dash shots on my webpage. Mine are all real wood with thick gloss lacquer finish.
All three pieces cost around $100.00 or more, if you can find the deal.
There is a set on ebay right now for about $159.00. I've seen
some sets in catalogs going for as much at $250.00.
I have an extra brand new piece for the 78-82 speedo/tach panel for $35.00 +shipping.
Just put some on the center gauge and center console of my 77 but I
don't have pics up yet. I think it really sets of the interior and breaks
up the all the black color.

I got mine from Ecklers four years ago and it still looks great. The original black finish is about impossible to keep looking good.

I've seen several with that burlwood finish like photovettes and they always look real good.

Thanks DMON & Photovette! I now see that the pieces that I got for our 74 are going to have to be stained a darker color. We got very light , almost white, burlwood.

I bought a no-mar dash set about 5 years ago. It's kind of cheesy looking, so I'm going to remove it and use it as a template to make a new set out of some good material. It's one of my projects this winter.
Here's one photo I have of it....

Here is what I finished this fall. Steering wheel is from Wilcox and wood pieces are burlwood veneer. Looks pretty good but I think ing of experimenting with making real wood pieces.
