Winter project under way. Replacing windshield. Caught a few rush spots here and there, but cleaned up nicely. Waiting for windshield install. Polish stainless steel trim.
It's fairly easy removing and cleaning up as long as you don't have much rust. Just take your time. One thing I should have done is mark or keep track of just what screws went were. I just put them all in a cup.
The lenths and sizes take a little extra time now putting it back.
I haven't installed glass yet. I'm going to let glass people put it in.
My garage isn't heated much just a small heater, but workable. Cleaning up the old glues is harder when it is cold.
I clean it up soaked everything in rust preventative let it dry, cleaned and painted. It should be good for a long time. Since the Vette hasn't seen rain in years and probably won't see that much in the future.
It's one of the projects not many will notice, but it's worth doing to see how you bird cage is doing.
