Hey here's some pics of our progress. Hoping to have it in polyester primer next week. Working on the top of the front fenders right now but I don't have any pics of that yet. Not too bad so far. Thinking of doing a single stage instead of base/clear coat. Haven't decided yet though.

Lookin good Goose. Do I see some c shaped power sander marks? Make sure you put on a good sealer and a good primer and block sand those out. Prime and block sand as many times as necessary to get all those out. Either the single stage or bc/cc will show all sanding marks like they are four times as large. Gotta be completely smooth.....80 percent of a good jop is prep.

Yes you do see some c-shaped stuff. I'm told the polyester primer isa sealer also and goes on as a high build. We'll see. I am planning to do a few reps of block sanding. The guys are working me up to 4 reps to get a show quality finish. Here's a few more pics. Will post more next Thursday after we get all the prep work for primer done.
Hood we just bought!

Sidepipes!

Bodywork...uuggghhhh

Rear deck was a mess. All cracked up.

We've been calle dit the Cheetah at the shop because of all the spots on it. Hopefully we can get some life out of the engine after we get done with this paint thing!

I had a custom idea for the L-88 using a scoop we bought but after looking at it my son just didn't see it happening. The standard L-88 is the one he liked so that's the way we are going. Fortunately it's a great look and from what I've seen not too overdone when you go to the shows. i see more of them online then I do in person.
Thanks for all the encouragement! I'll keep posting updates...
