I hate this post. It reminds me how old I'm getting. Mickey Thompson was my hero in my youth. He was a hot rodder that competed, and won, with the big money guys.

I once heard of someone asking what that 710 thing meant that was on the top of the engine.

We were told that they went out to look (after a lot of confused talk and looks) and finally realized that 710 was actually the oil cap on top of the valve cover.

Have not heard of M/T but I can sit back and learn - my '79 is blue - when the new motor finally gets off my wish list it will be chevy orange

WHO SAID HOT RODDERS? i was refering to the kids today. go to a mall and look at every 8 to 18 yr. old. they got von dutch hats, pins, shirts, skirts, socks, shoes, you name it. not 1 of them knows anything about him or who or when he was. that was my point/joke.
