What is M/T?
From time to time, I see this "M/T" lettering on the valve cover in C3 engine pictures and wondered what this acronym means? Also, is orange the proper colour to look for on a stock/original C3 engine? Thanks in advance for answering my questions as I continue to learn more about C3s......

M/T stands for Mickey Thompson, and yes Orange tends to be the most comon color for a Small Block 350 Chev engine.
Correct me if I'm wrong please!

M/T is the lettering for Mickey Thomson, and it depends on what year C3 some of the early engine were GM orange and the later ones were the ugly blue/green like mine.

77 was the first year for blue, my 76 had orange. I was lucky enough to park my 76 next to a 77 next to a 78. pre 76 = orange, 77 and later = blue

As I remember, Mickey Thompson and his wife were murdered decades ago. Found them shot dead in the driveway of their home.
Recently, within the past several years, his murderer was arrested. I believe it was his old business partner.
Corvette trivia.
