What color to use. Black or red?? Opinions please.
Most of the black poly's I know of are impregnated with graphite...most colored bushings are not because graphite is black, and obviously distorts color.
Graphite impregnation *reduces*(sometimes completely eliminating) the possibility of "poly-squeak" which is notoriously aggrivating, and a symptom of using poly bushings.
Also; black poly still has the OEM look.
Just my opinion...I'd rather have the black and no squeaks.
It's difficult to see the bushings once they're installed so I'd vote for whichever will be quieter. Painting the large washers at the ends of the control arms will have more visual effect than colored bushings. If you want some color contrast you could install red boots on the ball joints and tie rod ends. Those are much more visible.
