Just a word of caution.. I just recieved a t top shipped ups so rounded with styrofoam .cracked ,,,,my advice if you ship or are having one shipped use a large box and rap it with bubble rap then put packing around it.. It doesn't take much to ruin a good top..
My car came with an extra set that were shipped in a NICE box and everything...but there was a stress crack from the shipping on one of the tops. I guess they crack REAL easy. I want to sell the extra set as I do not need them, but they were cracked so I am not sure what they are worth.
when i got my chambered exhausts,,exhaust manifolds rad fan ect ect returned from jet coat,,the ups driver opened the rear door and started throwing the boxes from the truck to the street.i could of killed that guy,,thats where all the damage comes from jerks that throw the stuff around...... i opened the first box...my radiator fan 1 yr only --- 1973 --- had a blade bent over way over never got a nickle outta them wouldnt pay insured for 1,000
My new leather racing seats came in LARGE boxes and when UPS delivered it....it was a 90 lb woman who dragged it across the concrete to my building and complained that it was too heavy. Well, the corner of the box was ripped when it was dragged and the leather seat corner was ripped when it dragged on the concrete. Yes, it should have been packaged a bit better, but it was destroyed when the 90 lb woman decided that it was too heavy to lift and dragged it to the door. Had I seen when she first pulled up I would have gotten it out of the truck myself...but alas I did not see them until she was dragging it across the parking lot.
If you think the drivers treat the stuff bad - you should see the guys in the transfer terminals taking stuff from one truck and putting it onto another

Yep no one is "watching" them.....
My brother n law worked for UPS during the summer, thats what they used to do
Man I still feel like crap that the t-top was cracked when it got there. I've been working things out with UPS. My local office here has been great. Very smooth sailing. Gave them our email correspondence, my copy of the UPS receipt showing I insured it, even a copy of a magazine showing how much those things cost from Corvette Central. I insured it for $300 and now UPS (the headquarters, not my local people) are saying they can't believe I actually sold the t-top to you for $150 when it's worth so much more. Geesh! I didn't do it for the money - just looking to help you out more than anything and get it out of my garage. I guess the saga continues! My UPS girl is fighting for me. But as Mike says, BE WARNED, if you ship a t-top. Of course they had fragile on the box and looked at the styrofoam and said it should be fine. Ha. Within 20 hours it was at Mike's house and cracked. Damn shame. Sorry again Mike! I was really hoping to help you out. I'm still looking for another one for you.
