Default TCI Transmissions?

Anyone using one? What's the difference between lock-up and non lock-up? Thinking of putting one in my 82.

My 76 was rebuilt with a TCI TH-350 transmission with all manual valve bodies and reverse pattern on the shifter. I love the way it drives and shifts great. Don't know that much more about it other than driving it - the all manual valve bodies and reverse pattern on the shifter make it fun to drive and simple to shift.

I put the TCI Chevy sizzler and TCI sizzler torque converter. in my 76 in the spring of 2004. It was great! it changed the personality of the car. Now it shifted like a vette should

in the spring of 2005 I took it out and put in a muncie 4 speed

So I have the TCI for sale. only about 1500 miles on it $475 with converter.

Great transmission!

TCI 4L80E Streetfighter here.....good trans. , good service after the sale.

Lock up is a clutch inside torque conv. that engages to remove the slippage caused by the fluid coupler (torque converter). Lowers transmission heat, improves fuel economy. Worth the cost for sure IMHO.
