I am wanting to start replacing stuff under the hood. Been thinking about a crome Alt among other stuff. What is the amp that I need for my '79 L82?

Thanks

I have an 80 with A/C and I believe it is 63? Amps. I bought a chrome case from www.partzfinder.com $ 39.99 and used the guts out of my stock one and it looks great. I also bought a chrome adjustable alternator bracket from Summit it was $69 and looks awesome.

Thanks Kona,

My Gen light has been on and I broke the adjustment bolt off (while loosening it) in the back of the housing. Bubba and the "I will give it just a little more cause I dont want it to come loose" deal is at it again - doesnt he believe in torque wrenches and not overtightening stuff. I figured that I would just get a new one and then decided that since I wanted to go chrome under the hood, I might as well start looking at the chrome altenators and was not sure what amp I needed.

I have AC as well and I know that I do not want to get one too big or too small in the amp dept.

Thanks again - I know where to start looking now.
