Looks like chrome-bumper big blocks are drawing really nice money there, and any C2 is getting nice bucks. Some of those late C1's seem like they get disrespected. I know they weren't the most sophisticated beasts but the 62's are really nice looking cars.
Another 20 years maybe my '80 will be able to draw $39k... but I'm not counting on it.
I am positive "you can't bid " unless they have a letter of credit on file from your bank.
The buyer may have renegotiated the comm. with BJ after he bought the car, you can do that if you have deep pockets and are buying 2 or 3 cars. Everything in life is negotiable, except dying.
you need to be preaproved with either a letter of credit, a special MBNA auction card, or 10% down up front as a cash bidder. minimum bidder limit is $30K. then it cost an additional $350 for the bidder "paddle" and a guest pass, paking pass and some BS tickets to the "gala" and fashion show. they throw in a couple of catalougs but the real reason to get a bidders pass even if you don't bid is the free bar and the access to everywhere.besides every once in awhile (sunday night , middle of the weekday, etc...) a real bargin does come across the block.
