Default I purchased

One of the small brazing set ups that use MAPP gas and Oxygen. The cylinders are small like propane torch. anyone have one of these? Is worth having or should i just take it back?

dont plan on soing anything serious with it. Maybe a small amount of brazing, some heating and possibly some light duty cutting. Anyone else have any experience with this type of setup?

I went looking at a welding store for one of those. They upsold me to a full size setup. You will usualy run out of gas half way through any serious project with those tiny setups. The only time those little guys are worth having is if you are heading to the boneyard and need a smoke wrench. Just some things to consider. Big or small they are GREAT to have around.

I also bought the exact same thing. Was going to do some exhaust work. Job turned out to be too big for the equipment. Wish I could take back but I ruined the package.

I used one of these many years ago, I think it was on a '72 vw beetle. I brased the exhaust, it worked great for that. I think it had some kind of stick you lit to produce the oxygen.

You can get a nice setup like this one at WW Graingers or any A/C supply house. If you need you could charge it to my account at Graingers and get it wholesale and reimburse me. I have one like this for it's ease of mobility. I also have a large set in my shop.

http://www.uniweld.com/

PM me if you are interested and I will give you the info it is $389.75 at Grainger.
