TH400 70 Vette Question
I have a 70 Corrvette that I restored it is a 454-390 with TH400 transmission. It appears I have no passing gear when I an at 30-50 mph, I floor it, it takes off but does not drop into passing gear. Other then that it runs great. Is there a kick down switch somewhere? If so, where is it located and how is it connected to the transmission? I cant find any place on the trans to connect any wires? I heard there was a kickdown switch on the gas pedal?, is this true? Any help would be appreciated I am going to the NCRS show this weekend in Orlando, hopefully I can find what I need there.
To All, Have a GREAT day

First verify the switch if there. Look above the gas pedal for it.
Next, verify that the connector is plugged into the switch.
Lastly, operate the gas pedal while looking at the switch to see how it operates. Then with the gas pedal in the normal position, reach up and push the back part of the switch(the part that moves towards the inside of the car) towards the front of the car. It takes a bit of effort, but it will move forward with a click. Then push the gas pedal to the floor. This will set the switch to the proper position to kick down when you floor it.
You can verify it for proper operation by turning the ignition on without starting the car, and pushing the gas to the floor. You will hear a faint click coming from the transmission.
