It's the interweb, who cares. "I blew up my car because I trusted someone on an internet chat board to be my true value master mechanic even though he was probably 14 and misspelled a lot of words".
Some people need to get off the net and see what REAL life is. If you try to sue someone for something you read on the interweb open chat pages, you deserve to be found and dealt with.
sad.... sad.... sad.... What difference would it make if every silly post is followed with a lengthy disclaimer? As stupid as it sounds, it's probably not that farfetched. Every time I send an email from work there is a huge paragraph disclaimer at the bottom that is almost always longer than the message I have sent.
hmmm... I will no longer be answering questions dealing with jacking up the vette or checking the fuel tank sending unit.

LMAO, as funny as it all sounds, I guess someone is having probs here.
If we ask questions and guys reply...cool...if we mess up then its down to us! Forums are for helping out free of charge. If you pay for advice, its different but here on the forums its just guys ( and gals ) expressing their views, trying to offer assistance and shouldnt be taken as the absolute.
I ask for help, I get it ( most of the time ), if Im unsure, I'll ask again....
If you cant afford to take your car to a mechanic and have them take the rap when it goes wrong, then dont flame the guys here who give their time, knowledge and experience FOC...just my pennies worth..( $0.02 )

Was it intentional?
U can disclaim all u want but if someone is using the forum for stalking, fraud or malicous intent then i can imagine they still share some amount of liability for thier posts. Durogitory and character deflamation/assault that results in loss of livelihood to someone is still cause to seek damages no matter the agreement. I imagine intentionally misleading someone to cause them personal loss would be grounds for legal reimbursment also. Do u think the disclamer u sign at the doc's or dentist's office protects them from any/all malpractice?
On the other hand that if everytime someone misdiagnosed a problem for someone and had to pay up this forum would become very quite. I quess what i'm saying is lets all be nice or the lawyers will shut us down.
