I am playing with the idea of putting two alpine type-R subs in my vette. I want to fiberglass two enclosures into the back rear corners of the car utalizing the cavity where the body bolts are. If i just cut a piece of mdf to fit the corner and fiberglass it in to close in an area, will the actual car fiberglass hold up?

If your car doesn't have a bad patch job it should be fine. Fiberglass is pretty strong when curves are applied to it.
I build fiberglass subwoofer enclosures and sell them on ebay frequently and honestly I don't see where you would have a problem, I say go for it.
I would use eights or tens though
edit: I found this picture, you wouldn't even have to fiberglass it. Just cut your mdf to fit, wrap it in matching carpet and attach them to that area. Just depends on the look you want

i glassed in the corners and tucked in 2 jl 10w6v2..... pm me if u have any questions...... it's a bit tricky ..... the bigggest issues is make sure you position the mdf trim ring/plate correctly and build up the fiberglass resin and matte less resin the better....the stiffness comes from the matt and make sure you get the air bubbles out between layers...
