I just bought a 76 and I love it. Just so you know, the 76 was the last to have the Stingray emblems on the sides. The 77 had the cross flags. So if you are looking for something a little more "classic", you may want the 76.

NO let me repete NO Corvette came from the factory capable of doing wheelies. Why would you want to.It can get very expensive on the car.A lot of things break.Only a highly modified car will do that and it still brakes things.Just buy your Vette and drive it don't beat the p### out of it.

Man I ain't interested in no car that can't do a wheelie. Real men do the wheelies where I come from. The Wheelies get the women.

Default fit, finish and paint

I think it is good advice to get the best car you can. If you need to skimp, all cost being relitive get the car with the best paint and body. Minor mechanicals can be fixed. Paint and body need to done correctly and that can be expensive. Good undamaged body also. Hey the 75 in convertible may be the best collector value. Last convertible and still resonable. Hey then the 74 is last year for BB and you can get it in convertible. Hey then there is the 73, only year for rubber front and crome rear. Hey 72, last year for crome bumbers. 71, well, 70 last year for good power and crome bumpers, What year did you say you were looking for.

I've got a really original idea for you, especially if you want to do wheelies.

Get whatever year C3 you want or can afford, and drop a fuel injected SBC or a carbed BB in it. Put a set of slicks on the back and a set of 4:10 gears in the pumpkin. There's your wheelies....

I don't think anybody around here has thought of putting a more powerful motor in their C3.

Buy the car (76 or 77) and make it what you want, cause if you want to do wheelies in a stock vette, you're dreamin...or smokin...

I figure it's probably 73SBwhatshisname or someone similarly situated (e.g. - a 14 yr. old dipnutz).

Well, I can't really have chrome bumpers because mine will be scraping on the ground from all the wheelies I'll be doing, but thanks for the advice.

Man I ain't interested in no sissy wheelies. You want to see a real man do a wheelie? Here, check that out. That's how a man does his wheelies. That's my idol.

I figure if I wanted to get one of these C3 cars gettin' some air I could go with puttin' a 12 bolt in it, 5:13 gears, a 421 SBC with a roller cam aluminum heads and a powerglide transmission with a 1.96 first gear then 14X32 slicks after I tub it and put coil overs and gut the interior, but hell I don't know if I care that much about these turds anymore. You think that'd get one of your C3's doin' wheelies?

I've got a buddy who owns a C4 wheelie car, so I think that might actually end up being what I do. I'm gonna look into buyin' a C4 this weekend. Thanks for the idea, NHvette.

I'm gonna have to change my name to C4Vetteman.

Sharks can do wheelies too!

It's choppy the first time through, but plays fine the second time.

Ya, I agree. He, like every one else of the breed, has a buddy/cousin/uncle that does fantastic things.

Cannot get women with his looks or personality! Must be from the deep south with his spelling and grammer and his stated fact that Wheelies get the women. Inbreeding would be my guess on both ends.

Where do you come from?

So many dumb **** southerners, so little time.
