Default Need part ID help

Found in the storage comp. of the 71 coupe i picked up last August,black round "L" shaped tube,open on one end and covered with a domed shape screen on the other,its about 4-5 inches long,i have no idea what it is,where it goes or if it is even off this 71 coupe,thanks for any help. Tom

If I'm thinking right, would that be the drain hose that goes from the bottom of the area under the grille on the rear deck, and exits in the wheelwell area above and inboard of the rear tire? There would be one on each side.

maybe the breather tube for the crankcase breather ? (on the base of the air cleaner) Peace,,,Moosie

that's what it sounds like to me... screen is a "spark arrestor"

Thanks guys,thats what it is,arrestor,GM part #3849856,attaches on the passenger side under the base of the air cleaner to the hose coming out of the valve cover.
