I just picked up a 73 vert project, can someone hlp me ID the engine?
The casting # is 6956618 and the pad stamp is K0131FB
Thanks
Corvette used the castin#3956618 in the mid production on some cars in 1969, but they did not use FB on the pad. I have a 1969 327 engine
in my garage with cast.#3956618 and the stamp K0521FB.The 05 is for month, 21 for the day. If iam not wrong, i think FB is for Chevelle or Nova.

So its a 327 then? The guy I got it from thought it was a 327/365hp
Does that seem right for a 69?
