Default Radiator Core Support

I posted this on the parts page... but thought it might get more reads here. Does anyone have a core support for a 75 Stingray in good condition.... they are interested in selling? I am trying to avoid the $300 - $400 price for a new one... Thanks,

BL

Default Radiator support trouble

The ONLY trouble with trying to buy a used OEM support is:

#1 The one you buy is as rusty as the one you have.

#2 OR worse.

Are you restoring a points car?
In my 70-72 NCRS Judging Manual there is NO mention of a radiator support or numbers for a support, condition etc...
Sometimes, It's better to take the deduction that to spend 200 bucks on a support that someone lied about having "surface rust". We all know that those supports are MORE rusty inside than outside.
I think Dewitts has one for around 300 bucks.

JUST MY 2 cents.....

Either fix yours or buy a new one. Most used ones are in the same shape. Unless you do it yourself you won't save much over new fixing yours. My .02

bought a used one for 150 had VERY small rust holes, I fixed those easily.

Good luck, the used ones in decent shape ARE out there.

I have two perfect GM ones hanging on the wall in my shop for the past several years. Hard to fing GM ones that are still good.
