Was at a presentation given by Kelly Tidwell of Pure Power performance motor oils last Friday night.......
punch line....he says Mobil 5-30 Syn eats cam shafts and other internals because the DI pack is very small...in other words,the zinc is minimal...unlike 10-30,etc...he had those C5 guys scratching their heads over this one...
I'm not pushing this product,just re-visiting a thread topic on this several weeks ago..

The C-5 guys have nothing to worry about. We have had C-5's torn down that had absolutely no evident wear on the bearings, cam or lifters. Even after 100,000 miles or more, the internals look very good. Of course, roller-cams have been in Vettes since '86.
