Default Frame off or frame on?

I am about to tackle a rebuild on a numbers matching all there 72 vert, cant decide if I want to go frame off or frame on. Have never done a frame off before and am kinda scared.

What are your opinions and if you had to do your project over would you change anything?

Thanks,
Jake

Hey Jake, I would have to say the only way to do it is by taking the body off for a proper restoration. I think you would regret it downthe road for taking the quick way out. As an example, you cannot paint the top of the frame with the body on. I did a body off on my 72, and I had never done one before. Noting to be scared of, it's just nuts and bolts! Go for it!

I haven't done it with my '68 yet, but when the time comes it will be frame off. Every other project I've done a frame off. It's soooo much nicer working on the chassis, etc. with the body off. IMO, the end result is much nicer too.
