hurst install question
Can you install a hurst shifter through the console from above? I would be installing the shifter as well as new linkage on my 72 sb. I've been told by a mechanic that they would have to get at it from underneath and possibly drop the tranny/driveshaft to get at it. Does this sound right?

I just did this on my 76 in November. All from the bottom. It helped that the exhaust was out at the time.
