I use it almost exclusively. Probably the reason I've averaged less that 1/2 post per day since 2002. Lots of good info tucked away in the old threads.
No need to lock the thread......using the search function is a good suggestion.

It's more fun to "chat" about something than to search through old threads. When I get tired of rehashing old stuff I just don't reply. Often "link" a relevant historical thread rather than repeat what is already in the archives... sort of a "hint hint"

I have tried the search function often and usually come up with very little when I know there have been threads on the topic I was searching for. Just a day or so ago someone mentions using the advance search function and use the archive selection, I was unaware that I needed to do this now I can find the old threads that I knew were there. I learn something new on this forum just about every day.

I know I tried searching the other night for info on Cragars on a C3. The result was rather mixed; most of what it pulled up was on C4+ Vettes, and it didn't provide me with info on things like offsets, wheels rubbing on the calipers, etc.
I've also had problems with the Advanced Search function working through Firefox. It might be one of the extensions I have loaded to limit Javascripts, because as of late I've found Javascripts that will launch annoying popups that bypass the popup blocker I've got; but, if I can't get the information I'm seeking when I do a search, even if there's been similar topics, I may end up posting on said subjects.
I tried the search option but it pulls up everything in the C5 section and nothing what I am looking for. I might be doing something wrong because I am pretty new to the forum. I do go through the old pages and try to find a topic before I ask though.

If you use 'advanced search' you can specify which section you want to search in. Also you can also use the 'Search this forum' option.
I think topics like these are good. Some other forums, people just don't accept any form of critisism
Does anyone know much about Titanium rotors? Or how big a tire I can run with offset T-Arms. Lets start a new thread! And what’s this about a Vette found after 30 years? That should be big news.

The search function is just about useless for me. Why just the other night I was trying to find some information about TTII's and chambered exhaust and which intake manifold to use. All I could find were posts about radiators not fitting after you remove them. Post after post after post.....tell me something isn't wrong.
