I was thinking of leaving my stock radio in my 72 and installing a secret audio unit that hides away and is operated by a remote-- so you don't see any of the unit or have to cut to install anything. Wondering if anyone else out there is using it. Thanks, Paul
I'm planning to do the same, I already built a speaker box for the rear
speakers, and plan to add a receiver with an antenna to the rear box.
I plan to purchase a receiver with a remote control.
The speaker box just spans across the rear compartment covered with carpet.
The box just rest on the wheel well humps.
anyone else with a better idea chime in.....
The antenna would be mounted sideways in the box, I would be
using the cd player most of the time.
I like your speaker setup, how is the sound with the roof down? Right now I have Polk Momo 6.5 separates in the rear and an Alpine amp but I need a sub for sure.
Here's my 72 Coupe. Not as nice as your set up, but the IPOD transmits on 87.9 and stores every CD I have ever owned. Sits just perfect in the stock ash tray. Leaves the original radio intact.
