Default Rocker panel removal, difficult

I was wondering before I started unscrewing the rocker panel how hard it is to get off, is it adhered to anything or is it just held in by screws?

It is held in by screws and I'd advise getting behind them and brush the threads off before applying a good penetrant oil. It is not uncommon for them to become rust frozen and break in the threads on removal. This is a can of worms you don't want to open, so spend the time cleaning and soaking the threads first. Reapply the penetrant a few times over several days before using the screw driver. Act in haste, repent in leisure. After soaking, you also might try turning the screw in just a little first to see if it is free, but take it slow.

Take your phillips or screw driver and insert it in the screw, then hit it with a hammer before trying to remove it. Hitting it will break up the rust dissolved by the penetrant.

Ok I've got all the screws off but one annoying one where the groove in the screw head is all messed up and I can't think of a good way to get it out without breaking something Anybody got any ideas? It is the very middle screw if that helps, the one the doesn't have much room for you to fit your hand on the other side...of course..

I must have been lucky, mine just unscrewed without much problem at all. In fact I was just cleaning them tonight for repainting (Mine's a 79, so they're black.)
