71 Battery drain...

71 Battery drain...
The 71 seems to be draining the battery... it will start ok for a number of weeks then the battery is too weak to crank the engine. Just put a new battery in at the beginning of the year. I know if the wiper override switch is on, there is a constant drain, but it is OFF.
Other than the clock, what else has a constant drain on the battery? How can I check for a drain?

If you have a volt meter ,remove the positive battery cable and put the leads between the battery and the battery cable..It should read 0. If there a drain it will read 12volts or so, to find the drain remove one fuse at a time until the meter reads 0..that will tell you what system the drain is..also pull off the battery lead from the alternator you might have a weak diode
