Default Headlight Actuator %$^#%^%^&!!!!!!

finally got the headlight dust seals in for the actuatore. seeing that the driver's side one was the worst, i decided to start on it. after fighting to get the actuator out, i had it on my work bench. My best guess was that it has been on the car since November of 1976, i thought it would be a good idea to use a small torch and heat up the end before i try to unscrew it. I got about 3 threads of it backed out and you guessed it..SNAP!!! the rod end broke off.. definitely not what i wanted to do today.

So given that, I am going to try to get to a drill press and get a hole into the sheared off part so i can easy out it. I did noticed that it was also the inner seal as well as the outer seal that was munched on the actuator. so i decided to cool off and order the other seals..when it rains inmy world, it f'in pours! I think that i should be able to reuse the rod end and the actuator still.. what do you all think??

Get another actuator. Salvage units are about $25.
