Are you trying to sell this car?

Might want to try having this moved to the "C3s for Sale" page if so...

When? In '74 when it was built?

Sorry, couldn't resist. Just took that to mean that the car was worked-over in the 70's. Didn't figure a car would need a rebuild in 6 years.

Good luck on the sale! I'm sure you'll find someone to take good care of it.

Now back to your regularly scheduled thread.

A friend of mine has one of these "Hatchback" conversions that was also done to a 74 car.
The car started life as a L-82 auto car and still has the orig engine in it and runs and drives,it is in bad shape but is restorable.
It is black with silver interior.
I rember when this car was showed up in town in the late 70s early 80s and sat on a local car lot that delt with hot rods and muscle cars, I would always go by there on my way home from school and check them out.
I looked at buying it and redoing it but it was not to my likeing after I looked closely at the hatch conversion, It was done well with some sort of kit, I would like to know more on it if there is anybody out there that has any information on them and so would the owner if he decides to keep it and restore it.
He now wants to sell it and get back to a first gen camaro, he got the car from his uncle that had it stored in a barn and it is now sitting outside going to further waste.
If there is any intrest in the car contact me at gregurek@***.net and I will put you in touch with him.

Thanks, Mark G

Eckler's sold those kits, using (I think) a Monza hatch. Search/Advanced Search/check "archives" should be able to turn up some info.

Yes, the hatch did look like it was off a Monza, and the gas tank looked like one from a early camaro. The filler is at the rear of the car in the bumper below the hatch , but still has the factory fuel door cover on it.
