Default Nice Bra!

I am talking about the kind for the front of the car. I have a 1980 and was wondering if they will scrach up the paint? Are they a good Idea for trips? Where can I find one less expensive? Anyone have one they want to get rid of?

if you value your paint job, do NOT get a bra.......

well, unless you just think you look really sexy in it, in which case that's a personal issue you may need to look into if you aren't a woman.

Used to use one on my 78 SA years ago....pita...it would rub on paint..we drove the 78 cross country on a 7000 mile road trip just three years ago....coast to coast....without that bra....most all rock chips occurred at the upper windshield trim by t-tops,and a few got windshield itself....I have only one little chip down in the area of where the bra would be...(most driving was on two lane highways...)

MOST of the problems people have with using a Bra are:

Improper fit - don't buy cheap! or:
They leave them on after long road trips or after a rain. Big no-no's. Wash, polish and wax the car, be sure you have a felt lining, and good fit. Take it off after long road trips and/or a rain storm if you are caught out in one.
I use one on all my vettes on long road trips. Haven't had any problems with them at all.

700 dollars!! It is a Maco 1500.00 paint job. I think I will just buy the Mid America for 100 bucks and try and get by. Perhaps I would do the expensive one when I repaint in a few years.

I have a bra on my C3. There's only one reason I have it on there right now and haven't taken it off yet:

I'm afraid that the bra is the only thing holding the front bumper together.

The previous owner smacked a wall or pole or something with it, and cracked it. Within 3 days of getting it into our driveway, the left side of the rubber stops fell off. A week later, when I shifted the bra trying to check vacuum lines around the headlights, the other side fell off.

The bumper's getting replaced and the car's getting a paint job, so it can stay on until then, but once I get the new bumper, that bra ain't goin' back on!!!
