Just got back from Bowling Green. Had a geat time at the Vette museum and Vette/SLR assembly plant. Funny thing was that the museum had every Vette including the elusive 83 but no 79. They made only 42 or so of the 83's but made 50K+ 79's. Go figure. Anyway, the tour of both the museum and the Vette/SLR assembly line is highly recommended. I wish I had enough centavos to buy one of each.
We just got back from picking up my sons new ZO6. I had not visited the Museum yet and I quickly realized that I should have.
The highlight however was definitely the tour of the factory. It was obvious to me that they are building an incredible vehicle. It was just as obvious that most of the workers truly enjoyed what they were doing and considered themselves fortunate to work there. Many were very happy to talk to you about what they do and share their feelings about the Corvette. It has to be pretty special for them knowing that people don't just drive their products, they fall in love with them...
