Steering Control Switch REMOVAL HELP!
Can anyone tell me how to remove my steering control switch? I have a shop manual and it basically says to unbolt it and remove it. Any advice will be appreciated.

1. Jack up both front tires and put the car on jack stands.
2. Take off the left front tire and wheel assembly.
3. Take a digital pic of the valve as it is installed in the car to ensure you have the correct orientation of everything when it is going back together.
4. Disconnect all lines attached to it.
5. Remove cotter pin and nut from pitman arm connecting point.
6. Using pitman arm separating tool, separate valve from pitman arm. this will take a lot of patience and odd positioning of the wrench and tool due to the orientation of that area.
7. Remove the 2 bolts and nuts that lock the valve onto the tierod.
8.While pushing down on the tierod, turn the entire valve counter clockwise.
there, thats the entire removal process. definitely do not try to use a pickle fork to remove the valve from the pitman arm. i appologize if the directions seem like they are written for a 3rd grader. i am used to teaching young people to work on airplanes. you have to break things down like this for them!
