I stuck my head under the hood of my neighbors mustang last night for a minute, there is a hydroboost under there, with an integrated master cynindar. Would one of these work on a c3?
I Fitted mine along with VB&P Sports Rotors and Calipers with standard pads and they are fantastic. I was going to change the front calipers out for Willwoods but there is no need.
Unless you need clearance (remove the old vacuum unit), going from manual to power brakes or use the car for spirited driving or track events the effort to change over is probably not worth it.
With the above being said I did go to hydraboost at the same time as by auto to 5 speed swap so I had the dash a part for the pedal assy install. After getting the car back together I can say that the pedal gives a much more direct feel which I wanted for track days (helps in modulating the brakes). The extra work room is a big plus also.
Hopefully some of the others will post regarding what had to be done to the interior for the install to gain access to the mounting nuts behind the dash. I would expect to completly remove the instrument cluster and remove drivers seat at a minimum.
